With the support from his family, in 1986, Aurelio Villatoro was able to purchase his own farm; Finca Villaure, in Huehuetenango. He gained most of his coffee experience from helping his father on his farm for many years prior to his own set up.
Over 40 members of the entire Villatoro family work together on the farm, supporting each other during the cultivation, picking and post harvest processing. They share 2 wet mills and a few patios where they dry the coffees.
Every family member thoroughly understands the importance of each step along the chain in order to produce the award winning coffee they do. Their passion and dedication to the work has allowed them to earn Top 10 positions in the Cup of Excellence for many years.
