Great quality beans and good selection. My first time buying coffee beans for my pour over coffee set up and satisfied with them. Only suggestion is to add some roasting information for someone like me just getting into coffee. E.g. light, medium or dark roast?

We opt to not use a roast level as part of our product descriptors as over the years we’ve found it isn’t so helpful for our customers. The colour of the coffee post-roast being light, medium or dark isn’t always indicative of a roast flavour. The colour of the coffee beans will vary greatly based on origin, size and process even when using the same roast profile. At Butterworth & Son we roast every coffee in the range with different profiles in order to best showcase its unique characteristics. We are prioritising the flavour of the beans with as little intervention as possible and do not want to disguise any of it with a “roasty” flavour.
As a general point of reference for you, our single origin offerings would be considered a light-medium roast and our blends a medium-heavy medium roast.
